Introduction to diaries

In 1991 a booklet was jointly published by the Mass Observation Archive and the Centre for Continuing Education at the University of Sussex. It provides an introduction to the diaries together with short biographies of 12 of the 500 or so diarists who wrote for Mass Observation between 1937 and the mid 1960's.
