Diaries

What is Happiness poster from 1938 advertising Mass Observations competition in BoltonLearning sessions using Mass Observation's unique collection of diaries, dating from 1937 to present day, are available for Primary and Secondary school students from Year 5 upwards.

Fun diary-focused activities will enable students to learn more about Mass Observation's research methods and also develop skills in historical enquiry, reading for meaning and confidence in spoken presentation.

Sessions usually last up to 2 hours and take place at The Keep.
