Mass Observation Anniversaries Conference

MO conference. Celebrating 75 years

In 2012 the Mass Observation Archive celebrated 75 years since the foundation of the original Mass Observation organisation and the 30th anniversary of the Mass Observation Project with a conference.

The conference was held at the University of Sussex on 4th July until 6th July 2012. It attracted a wide range of delegates who had used and enjoyed the Mass Observation Archive as well as people who simply wanted to know more about the Archive. The conference brought together topics and themes from across the seventy five years of Mass Observationís existence and the papers given at the conference were as varied at Mass Observation itself. You can download the conference programme here.

Plenary speakers included Murray Goot (Macquarie University), James Hinton (Warwick), and Laura Marcus (Oxford). You can also watch videos of the Plenary speakers below or download audio recordings as podcasts here.
